An overview of who can see which action items and tasks within a campaign action plan.
The tasks and action items that a person sees are determined by their level of visibility. There are four types of visibility:
- Full visibility
- Campaign stakeholder visibility (Executive Sponsors, Leads, Facilitators)
- Hierarchical and dotted line leader visibility
- Action assignee visibility
1. Full visibility
People with full visibility will see every task and action item for any campaign within an organization. They can apply any campaign to the filter bar to view the action plan for that campaign.
In the example below, Will Green has full visibility of all organizational data. He is able to see all tasks and action items for this campaign even though he has not been assigned to any.
2. Campaign stakeholder visibility (Executive Sponsors, Leads, Facilitators)
People with campaign stakeholder visibility will be able to see every task and action item for any campaign they have been assigned to. They can apply any campaign they have been assigned to, to the filter bar to view the action plan for that campaign.
In the example below, Mary Meany is a facilitator and has been assigned to certain tasks and items. Because she is a campaign stakeholder, she can see all the tasks and items for this particular campaign (not just the task she's been assigned to).
3. Hierarchical and dotted line leader visibility
Hierarchical and dotted line leaders will see:
- Tasks and associated items they have created
- Tasks and associated items that their direct / indirect reporting lines have created
- Tasks and associated items they have been assigned to
- Tasks and associated items of anyone below them in their direct / indirect reporting lines.
In the example below, Laura Williams is a reporting line leader. She created the Pricing improvements action item + David Seddon and Frank Mrosso belong to Laura William's direct reporting line. Laura can see the tasks assigned to her, the tasks and associated action items that are assigned to her reports, and she can see all the tasks and action item she herself created.
4. Action assignee visibility
Action assignees that are not campaign stakeholders or leaders within their organisation will see:
- Action items + all tasks if they were assigned to the item
- Specific tasks they were assigned to + the name of the associated item
In the example below, Becky Watts is neither a campaign stakeholder or a leader within her organization. Becky can only see the tasks and associated action items that has been assigned to her.
📝 Note:
- If a user does not currently have access to go.joyoushq.com but is added as an assignee, they are considered an action item assignee.
- This grants them access to the Dashboard only. They will not be able to see conversations in the live feed or the calendar.
